Hi welcome! Here is a little about me…

When I lived in Beverly Hills I went to Joe Blasco Makeup School in Hollywood for beauty and special effects & trained under Emmy award winner Ashlee Peterson. I graduated Joe Blasco Makeup School in 2007. I started working while I was still in school. I did set makeup for movies (you can find me on IMDB.com just search my name Mia Detomaso or click the IMDB button on the bottom of this page) commercials, music videos, models pageants, fashion shows (including Mercedes Benz Fashion Week) etc. I worked with two agencies so I had a lot of opportunities for different types of makeup work. I also traveled (and was in charge of finding and directing the makeup team) to do makeup for photoshoots in Orange County, Hollywood, Chicago and Colorado. I took a break from traveling when I became pregnant.

After I married my best friend we moved to Reno to be closer to family and buy a home.

I continued to travel for work as I had very close relationships to my bosses and their agencies. After I had children I decided to focus more on working locally. I do still travel for the right opportunities.

I continue to do photoshoots locally (maternity shoots, fall/family photoshoots) prom, brides/weddings and big production commercial shoots in Tahoe.

My last big projects have been for Heavenly, Squaw Valley, a commercial/advertisement for Apple and most recently a Free People photoshoot.

I am so thankful to God that these past 15 years ALL my work has been referrals. Literally all, since before I graduated makeup school. With that being said I am just now creating my makeup work Instagram and makeup website.
